The Run
I ran the Daytona International Speedway 5K for the second consecutive
year. It was an experience getting up at 5:30am, and then taking a tram to the infield of
the 2.5-mile speedway under the shadow of darkness. As the sun began rising, the run took us down pit road, briefly onto
the infield Rolex sports car course, then onto the inside apron for a full lap on stock car racing's most famous track. And I cannot wait to do it all again!

The Fundraising Campaign
** We raised more than $1,000 to benefit The Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation - thank you to ALL who donated!
I hope you'll consider donating my Daytona 5K run time to The Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation.
With your help, we can take strides toward providing the needed funding for pediatric cancer research and treatment. I ran the 5K in 32 min, 13 sec... so the donation is $32.13.
