My son and I are apart most of the year and we keep close by watching the races together when we can and talking about it on the phone when we can't. My son gets mad if Jeff Gordon or Terry Labonte doesn't win every week, but he's still happy when Jeff finishes in the top 5. I'm glad we can connect thru NASCAR, and who could be a better role model for my kids? We also watch football together but there aren't as many people who I hope my kids look up to that are as good as Jeff Gordon. May his faith in God and his love for the sport continue to make him a champion on and off the track. We'll be at Texas Motor Speedway every year waiting for a good finish!
