Las Vegas preview
February 24 - - Although Jeff Gordon is outside the top-20 in the NASCAR points standings, he can take solace in knowing that over the last 10 races on 1.5-mile tracks, nobody has scored more points than him. After two sub-standard finishes to start 2010, Gordon heads to the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway looking for his first victory in nearly one year, and a boost up the points ladder. "We've had some strong runs here recently including last year when I had fun battling for the lead with Jimmie Johnson" Gordon said. "I really feel like we were the best team early in the season last year. But that's not when championships are won. Sure, race wins - and the bonus points that come along with those wins - can be a tremendous help during the Chase. But we've worked hard over the off-season to try to become better in the final 10."
